Privacy policy
Your privacy matters, especially given the personal nature of coaching. This policy explains what information Conscious Partnership Studio collects through this website, why, where it is kept, and the choices you have.

Who we are
Conscious Partnership Studio is the relationship and intimacy coaching practice of David Colombe, based in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Conscious Partnership Studio.
We aim to handle personal information in line with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect, and why
When you book a session
Your name, email address, phone number, the session you choose, its date and time, and whether you’d like to meet in person or online. We use these to schedule your session, contact you about it, and send your confirmation and reminder.
Booking never asks about your health, relationships or reasons for coaching.
When you pay
Paid sessions are paid through Stripe, a payment provider. You enter your card details on Stripe’s secure payment page, not on this website, so we never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us whether the payment succeeded and the amount paid, and we keep a reference to the payment so we can issue refunds under the cancellation policy. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to the information you give it.
Your intake form
The intake form asks about what brings you to coaching, your goals, and, if you choose to share it, more personal information about your relationships, intimacy and wellbeing. Every question is optional except the consents and your signature.
If you fill in the online form, your answers are encrypted on your own device before they are sent, so only David can read them. The website stores only the encrypted form, which it cannot read. Once David has saved your form to his own records, it is deleted from the website; any form not saved is deleted automatically after 30 days.
The website also records which consent boxes you ticked and the version of the form you signed, but none of your answers.
You can choose to fill in a printed copy and bring it to your session instead.
When you contact us
If you email, phone or text, we receive whatever you choose to send. Email and text messages are not fully private, so please don’t include sensitive personal information in them unless necessary.
What this website doesn’t do
This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, doesn’t use social media plugins, and doesn’t sell or share your information for marketing.
It doesn’t set cookies for visitors. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may use strictly necessary security measures to protect it from attacks. When you open your private booking link, the link is kept in your browser for that tab only, and is gone when you close it.
Who helps us run the website
We use a small number of service providers, who handle information only to provide their service to us:
Cloudflare hosts the website and its database, where booking details and encrypted intake forms are stored. Stripe processes card payments and refunds. Resend sends our booking confirmation, reminder and cancellation emails, which include your name and session details. Zoom hosts online sessions; Zoom’s own privacy policy applies when you join.
The website’s database is stored in the United States, and these providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Information stored outside Canada may be subject to the laws of those countries, including lawful access by their authorities.
How long we keep information
Booking details are kept for 2 years after your session, so we have a record of your sessions and can answer any questions about them. After that, your name, email and phone number are removed. An anonymous record of the session date and payment is kept for 7 years for tax purposes, then deleted. Booking attempts where payment was never completed are deleted after 30 days.
Online intake forms are deleted from the website as soon as David has saved them, and in any case after 30 days.
The website’s database has automatic backups that are kept for up to 30 days, so deleted information may remain in those backups for up to 30 days before it is permanently removed. Cloudflare also keeps short-term technical logs (such as which pages were requested, and from which internet address) for a few days, for security and troubleshooting.
Information held outside this website
[David: describe how you keep the intake forms and any notes you save from sessions, for example where they are stored, how they are protected, and how long you keep them.]
How we protect it
Information sent to and from this website is encrypted in transit. Intake forms are encrypted on your device, and only David holds the key to read them. The website’s admin area is only open to David, who signs in with a one-time code sent to his email.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and keep only what we need.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it, subject to any legal or contractual limits. You can cancel or reschedule a booking from the private link in your confirmation email.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
